The reason its such a long time is that, first of all, I don't want my beloved story to turn out like crap because I hurried through it to get it written (even though I've been working on it since probably somewhere around '98) AND I don't feel like my own drawing skills are up to the level that I would like for my comic...
So, as mentioned in my previous entry, I will be doing some serious study in drawing itself and (I'm sure to my mom's delight ^^) have decided to try out painting as well. I'm going to be visiting a long-time painter who lives just down the road from me and hopefully become as good as her in time
I also have been wanting to get into sculpting of sorts. I'm not sure if that's what it is technically called, but I was looking around on neondragon's livejournal page and saw the sort of sculpting things she was doing (soap molds). She then linked to another artist's page who was doing a different sort of sculpting, with molds for more solid creations and the like. Either way, it all interests me and I would really like to try that out too, but I don't really know how I would get into that as I don't know anyone around me who does it...
So here's a list of things for me to do:
- Comic script completed
- Sculpting
- Painting
- Human study
- Background/scenery study
- Animal study
